Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
What is ADHD
ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders worldwide; an estimated 3-5% of children are afflicted, and 2.5% of adults suffer from the condition. Current treatments involve modulation of activity in the prefrontal cortex (PFC).
Common Signs and symptoms of ADHD include:

- Difficulty paying attention and staying focused
- Easily distracted by sights, sounds, thoughts
- Restlessness, constant motion, fidgeting
- Impatience
- Excessive procrastination
- Emotional dysregulation

Diagnosis involves evaluation of:
- Medical, family, social, occupational and academic history
- Behavioral observations
- Guided checklists
- Ruling out other possible conditions
